Hi,
Yes it is early. We have a long day of tests & waiting ahead of us.
Today, Hannah will undergo a series of tests. This will be the first set of post chemo tests to evaluate how her treatment is holding. For those of you that are not aware of the current situation:
- Hannah’s chemo treatment was stopped approximately one month ago.
- Doctor’s opinion was that the chemo treatments created a bigger risk than a possible benefit.
- Hannah has started a different type of treatment, imune enhancement, directly to her lungs.
- The imune enhancement is applies by a nebulizer 20minutes each morning and evening, 7 days a week, one week on & one week off for the next 6-12 months.
- The imune enhancement is very new to Sloan, only 3 patents (including Hannah) have participated in this new process.
Getting back to Hannah’s day, Monday Oct 24th, she will have a CBC, Cat Scan, & Echocardiogram. In between these test we will read books. There is always a lot of hurry up and wait during days like today.
We will also have the opportunity to drive Lindsay and her mom down to Sloan today. It some how seems a little surreal to be car pooling to the cancer treatment center.
Thanx for thinking of Hannah.
