Happy Belated Thanksgiving. We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends. We had a nice day, with Nathan home from school and Uncle Jim from MontClair, NJ. We feel so blessed and grateful for each and every day.
Hannah had a marvelous time in Hawaii. She surfed, went to a luau, shopped, called me from the beach every day and asked if I could hear the waves in the background, and totally enjoyed herself. She returned home on Sunday afternoon before Veteran’s Day, and being the kind, understanding mom that I am, I made her an orthodontist appointment for 8:30 a.m. that Monday morning. She went in her pajamas. On Tuesday, we had to be at Sloan by 8:00 a.m., so by Wednesday when she went back to school, the jet lag was much better.
Last week, we had a visit from Grandpa Hess from Chicago. He came out for 6 days, and it was so good to see him. Bill and Hannah took him back to the airport the Tuesday before Thanksgiving on their way down to Sloan for a checkup. Hannah and I will head down to Sloan this Tuesday for another treatment.
I’m sure you’ve noticed I still haven’t gotten the pictures up. Bill and I talked about it all weekend, and before you know it, the weekend was over. One of these days we will do a posting of pictures only. (Don’t hold your breath).
