May 12, 2008

Just wanted to post and let you all know how we are doing. It has been a difficult few weeks, as we miss Hannah so very much, however we are slowly beginning to resume all of our daily activities.

The boys have all returned to school. Nathan will be finishing for the year this Thursday, and we have already brought one load of his things home from the city. He has a few weeks off and then he leaves for his summer job at Happiness is Camping. Last week he was honored to be chosen RA (resident assistant) of the year at NYU. We are very proud of the great job he has done this year in all aspects of his life.

Colin made his decision on his choice of colleges for next year and will be attending Syracuse University in the fall. This past weekend was his prom and he had a great time. We had kids at the house all weekend, and I think the final count spending the night Saturday night was 13. There were kids on every available couch and floor space, but it was great having them here. Next up for Colin in a few weeks is his senior class trip to Disney and then onwards to graduation!

Austin has been keeping busy with baseball and band. He will be going to Hersey Park this weekend for a band and orchestra competition, and a fun day at the park afterwards. We are keeping an eye on the weather for the weekend. Hopefully it will be sunny and warm.

All three boys have been gearing up for Relay for Life. We had a carwash the first Saturday in May, and still managed to raise over $1000.00 in the rain for the American Cancer Society. If you have never been to a relay event, Goshen’s Relay for Life is June 13th, and is a wonderful event. It is held at the high school. Come on out and cheer us on. We really need the support around 4:00 in the morning.

Bill returned to work last week and I will be returning to work soon. We are working to get things back to normal, aware that this is now the new normal for our lives. In every thing we do, we think of Hannah. She is forever with us in every aspect of our lives.
