On Monday, Hannah went for her blood test. Her platelets were almost where they needed to be, but just not enough for chemo. That made this a free week for her. She’s feeling great, and does not have to go for any more blood work until next Monday. She will get chemo next week. So, because she has a free week, she is going to school. She has gone to school Tuesday and Wednesday, and will also go Thursday. Finals start on Friday, but she has been excused from taking them. Friday night is the eighth grade formal, so she will also get a chance to attend the dance. On Tuesday, Nathan and I spent all afternoon wondering how she was doing at school. He commented that it was like she was attending her first day of kindergarten, and we couldn’t wait for her to get home. She has been enjoying her week, and it almost feels like a normal week for us. It has been great!
