Hi Everyone,
We celebrated Hannah’s 14th birthday on Saturday.
She invited several
of her friends over
and then later they
went to a movie.
Everything was
normal, with the exception that she received a gift
from Victoria’s Secret.
Now normally gifts are a good thing. However,
gifts from Vickie’s place can be kind of scary for
a dad of a 14 year old. I saw that pink bag and my
“trouble antenna” when right up to the ceiling.
Thoughts of material deprived garments flashed
before my eyes. And at that point I was already
“squinting”.
As far as I’m concerned, that store’s marketing
department should do an internship at a smorgasbord
restaurant. Now that’s where you get value.
Victoria’s management could adapt to that
concept. Imagine, pay a single price and getting
unlimited material. I can envision all those little,
itty, bitty items in which a teen may have interest,
being sold in terms of yardage. Teen girl under
things with 2 yards of material. Teen girl top
things with 2-1/2 yards of material. Material here,
material there, material covering everywhere.
Now that’s a store where Dad’s want their 14 year
old Princesses to shop at. Oh, and 15, & 16, & 17
& 18 years old, you get the drift.
P.S. Becky, feel free to shop their normal selection of,
non yardage, items.

Chrissy, Julianne. Hannah, Leah, Jillian & the nice sweatshirt from Victoria’s
Secret. Notice the ample yardage.
