Dad Has Comments Also.....

Hey everybody, Dad is with Hannah this week for her treatments. You’re probably thinking how blessed Hannah is. She has the distinct pleasure of having Dad sit with her all day. Gosh what a lucky girl. I tell ya, there just isn’t anything better in the world than having your Dad at your side. All day long. All night long. At breakfast. At lunch. At dinner. At snack time. During deserts. Waking her up gently in the morning with a beautiful rendition of “Oh What a Beautiful Morning” and serenading her at night with “Oh What a Beautiful Evening”. Are you kinda getting the drift of what a great pleasure it is to have this one to one closeness.

Anyway, we are buddying up really really nicely.

Hannah appears to be well liked by the nurses. She always has a smile for them even when the treatments make her feel less that happy. They are all great people who are professional and nice.

Did Hannah tell you about her Pastrami sandwiches for lunch. Yep, we smuggle them into the day hospital, order chips and drink from the memu and then gobble them down at noon-ish. New York deli meats, nothing is better.

Last night we enjoyed an International Dinner Night and Roni’s (Ronald McDonald House). They served a selection of Indian (from India), Greek, Italian, Chinese, and some kind of mystery country. Hannah tried a lot and ate most of what she tried. Some of the mystery stuff was.... well.... mysterious and didn’t make it past her pallet.

We have been taking nightly walks up and down the streets of NYC. The first trip was to buy sum accessories to her new i-Pod. Our second trip was to go to Barnes & Noble (which we discovered during the first trip to buy the accessories). Tonights trip will most likely be to Uno Pizza (which we discovered during our second trip to Barnes & Noble which is next to Circut City where she got her accessories). It will be interesting to discover where our next trip will lead. I have to be very upfornt in relating that I am so proud to walk with her. It reminds me of a time when she was just a wee-little girl and use to hold my hand everywhere we went. Kind of gives me a warm fuzzy just thinking of those memories and todays walks.
