It’s hard to believe that Hannah has been in heaven almost 2 years. At times, I still have trouble believing it all happened. The bulbs around her headstone are blooming; the purple ones came out first of course! Easter is here and we are having beautiful weather. Nathan has come home from Africa for a short visit, and it is the first time in 9 months that we have had all the boys under one roof. Twice this year, Bill has been in Europe and my family has been spread over 3 continents.
Last year, Easter Sunday was difficult for me. We went to church and from the first hymn, I started crying and cried throughout the entire service. Of course, I did not have any tissues and one of the boys, being the helpful sort of person he was, went and got me paper towels. So, not only was I crying, I had a red, raw nose. Though Easter is such a joyful day, I think I was just feeling our loss so strongly.
The boys have been busy. Nathan loves Zambia, and will be going back for another year or two. Maybe since I got all those shots, I may get an opportunity to go visit him again. Colin is busy with school and work, and trying to decide his plans for the next school year. Austin barely has time to breath. He is very involved with school activities, and of course, getting towards the end of the year, brings him (and me) a lot more things to do. Bill and I are doing well. All of us miss Hannah so much. This year has been especially hard because it would have been her senior year in high school and we miss all the things we should have been doing with her. We will be presenting two scholarships in her memory at graduation this year.
To all of you, we wish you a very Blessed Easter!
