We don’t have too much new information to add regarding the postponement of Hannah’s surgery. She is feeling much better. Hannah did run a fever all day on Friday, but has been fever free since Saturday morning. Her team feels that she probably had a virus along with the shingles, that just coincidentally came out at the same time. The virus caused her to lose her voice, but that is also starting to return to normal. Hannah did not have any further spreading of the shingles, and the feeling is that the rash should be dried out by the weekend. As of Monday afternoon, the results of the culture taken were still pending, but the plan is to return to Sloan on April 19 for treatment 3, and hopefully surgery will follow soon after. She will remain out of school this week, and will to return next Monday at least for a few days. We’ll post as soon as we know the new surgery date.
